Road to Skelton Hall
Road to Skelton Hall
That's one powerful looking bull! I think the breed is Blonde d'Aquitaine, impressive animals, especially in such a beautiful setting as Skelton Lane.

St Edmund the Martyr church in Marske
St Edmund the Martyr church in Marske
Here is a quote about it from Geograph.org.uk
"An Anglican parish church in the small village of Marske in Swaledale, St Edmund's has an ancient history. Parts of the building including some of the columns are as old as 12th century, but much of it, including the box pews, date from c.1630 when it was largely restored. Further alterations were made in 1683 and the chancel was rebuilt in the late 19th century.

The parish is closely linked with the Hutton family, who included Matthew Hutton, Archbishop of York 1595 - 1606."
