She was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Lightfoot) Moore. Ruth was a member of the Centreville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for many years and talked to many people about the Bible over the years. One of her favourite scriptures was from John 5:28, 29 where it talks about God's promise of a resurrection of the dead. She also really enjoyed the outdoors especially the flowers and gardening and drives in the countryside. Another one of her passtimes was spent reading and listening to country music, if it had to do with the 'Grand Ole Opery'. Ruth is survived by her sons, Cecill (Carol) of Brighton Ont.; Roger of Centerville; Randy of Centerville. She is also survived by grandchildren, Richard, Christa, Sandra, Brian, Mark, and Chad. Ruth also has 11 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Ruth was predeceased by husband, Ernest; son, Ernie; daughter, Diane; brother, Charles and Murray; sisters, Violet, Beatrice, Edith,, Hilda, Leota, Laura, and Margaurite. She was also predeceased by grandchild, Kimberly. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband James, sisters Elizabeth, Francis, Gertrude, Daisy, Katie, Laura, Ruth, Winnifred, Florence and brother Robert. She was an active member of the Centreville Congregation of Jehovah?¢s Witnesses, enjoying meeting people and making new friends. She worked in the laundry department at the old Children's Hospital in Halifax until she started her family, at which time she chose to be a stay-at-home Mom. Audrey was known for being a hard-worker; she kept her house immaculate and was always working around the yard doing what she could to help out. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, and drinking multiple cups of tea throughout the day. She had a love for music; she would dance to any genre, and could be found at the local Jam sessions dancing to every song. She loved house parties, weddings or any kind of occasion that she would be able to dance. | 1436 | Daniel 'Devil Dan' Blois was a balladeer and gained local fame for a ballad he wrote in tribute to two little girls, aged 6 and 4 who, in 1842, wondered off from their farm and were lost and died in eachothers arms. It was originally called 'The Lost Children', but later became known as 'Babes in the Wood'. He wrote two other ballads that have survived called ``Captain Mann" and ``The Brave Volunteers´´. Mr. Mosher emigrated from Rhode Island (where many of his connections are now living) to Newport, when only 5 years old, and since that time resided in this Township up to the period of his death, where he reared a numerous family of 22 children, the greater part of whom are still living, and his descendants, at one time during his life, numbered 117 grand-children, 104 great-grand-children, and 3 great-great-grand-children. Mr. M. joined the Wesleyan Methodist Society when a young man, between 20 and 30 years of age, under the ministry of the Rev. Mr. Black, of which he remained a member up to the time of his death. Though his mental faculties had become somewhat impaired for a considerable time previously to his dissolution, he retained his bodily health and strength nearly to the last closing scene of a life prolonged and protracted far beyond the usual period allotted to mankind.
