"Tina", as she was known by her friends, was born on July 7, 1921 in Georgestahl, Ukraine. Then emigrated to Germany when she was twenty-five. With her husband, Abram, and two sons, moved to Canada in 1955. She spent her time with family, friends and church, loved life and traveling. She was a selfless caregiver to not only her family but to numerous foster children and loved to provide for others. In spite of her years of illness her main concerns were for the well-being of others over herself. She will be sadly missed. Born on April 11, 1925, in Wentworth Creek, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Hannah (Seary) Ward. Kathleen was a lifelong homemaker, and was known for her baking abilities. She was a loving and compassionate mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was known as Nanny Lowe, by people and children in her community. She was a devoted parishioner of the Rawdon Hills United Church where she will be sadly missed. One of her biggest triumphs was raising her 12 children. Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Gail (Sidney) Aker; Marilyn (Wayne) Haley; Carolyn (Wayne) Weir; Susan (Vernon) Leighton; Cathy (Mark) Church; Jackie (James) Wile; sons, James (Beverly) Young, Perry (Michelle) Lowe, Bobby (Sharon) Lowe, Jerry Lowe (Pam); Terry Lowe (Sherri); stepson, Gerald (Rose) Wright; brother, Bill (Leona) Ward; half-sister, Jessie (Oscar) Langdon; 26 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a special great granddaughter, Gracie Kathleen Aubrey.
