Cherished grandmother of Vickey, Allan, Kevin, Stephanie, Jerry, Joshua, Jacqueline, Joanna, Brittany, Corey, Carol, Christopher, Elizabeth, Ashleigh, Lauren, Ryan, Jesse and Great Grandchildren Michael, Andrew, and Koby. Dear daughter of Elizabeth Comeau and foster daughter to Mary and Charles Marsh all predeceased. Dear sister of Edward of Waterloo, Marguerite of Nova Scotia and the late Laurie, Doris, Ezra, Burton, and Douglas all predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. 2931 McLEARN - Wilfred Cedric, age 100, passed away suddenly at home in North Noel Road on January 30, 2018. Born in Upper Kennetcook on June 24, 1917, he was the eldest son of the late John Jeffus McLearn and Nellie G. (Taylor) McLearn. In his younger years, Wilfred was an avid marathon runner who received many trophies. He served in three wars before retiring from the army, when he worked at Totem Building Supplies in Calgary. Wilfred was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion #166, and with his wife Kay, was a foster parent. Wilfred is survived by his sister Pearl MacPhee Neil, daughter-in-law, Annette (Woledge) McLearn; son-in-law Vern Braden; and grandchildren, Alexis and Darion McLearn. He was predeceased by his wives, Kathleen and Joyce; son, David McLearn; daughter, Candace McLearn; brothers Norman, Bernard (Muriel), and Murray (Mary); and sisters Audrey (Alvin) Evans, Della (Frank) McDonald, Annie (Earl) Blundell. Special thanks to Cathy Dickson for her loving care. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A Legion service, memorial service and reception will be held starting at 11am Saturday, Februrary 10, 2018 at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Kennetcook, Rev. Carson Baxter officiating.
