Born June 17, 1916 in Wentworth, Hants Co., she was a daughter of the late George and Blanche (Caldwell) Killen. She graduated as an R.N. from the Children’s Hospital, Halifax in 1939 beginning a lifelong career as a well respected nurse. Ruby married Percy Baltzer in 1940 and lived in Aylesford until 1986 when they moved to Truro. Ruby will be remembered for her love of her family, her dedication to Nursing and her keen ability at the bridge table. She is survived by son, Dr. Peter Baltzer, Sidney, BC; daughter, Patricia (David) Scammell, Truro; grandchildren, Erin, Darcy and Helen; great-grandchildren, Mason, Marley and Milo. She was predeceased by her husband, Percy in 1994; her sister, Helen Robinson; brothers, Orrick, Herman. No service and visitation by request. Interment at a later date in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor.
