- Paul Roy Atwell – 60, of Black Rock, Kings County, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of the late Donald and Grace (Davenport) Atwell. Paul picked apples for Elderkin’s in Wolfville, worked in construction in Winnipeg and was then employed with F. A. Tucker in Truro working with power poles for a period of time. He was a farmer at heart, right to the end, and also sold firewood and kindling part-time. He was a hard worker, very thoughtful and enjoyed joking with people. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, with a passion for guns and weapons. He is survived by children, Stanley, Wilmot; Troy, Coldbrook; Toni, Berwick; Nick, Berwick; Alex, Ontario; Haley, Cambridge and Hayden, at home; his twin sister, Paulette (Brian) Kehoe, Fall River; sisters, Marjorie (Bruce) Davison, Melanson; Patricia "Patti" (Bill) Gould, Berwick; Sheila (Dell) Deveau, Berwick; Carol Atwell, Stratford, Ontario; Donna (Allen) Keddy, Melanson; Mickey Chippett, Whitehorse, Yukon; Terry Crane, Richmond Hill, Ontario; brothers, Robert Atwell, Sunken Lake; Darroll (Peggy) Atwell, Melanson; Eugene Atwell, West Brooklyn; Fred Davenport, Mahone Bay; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant son, Fred Joseph Atwell; brothers, Donnie "Skip", Sonny, Stan and Charlie. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. There will be no funeral service, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
