- BARRETT, June Ellen - 71, Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital, Musquodoboit Harbour, formerly of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 1, 2000, in the hospital. Born June 30, 1929 in Beaver Bank, she was a daughter of the late James and Amelia Redmond. She worked as a Kitchen Supervisor at Scotia Nursing Home for 13 years. She enjoyed making crafts and watching figure skating. Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Joseph A. Barrett; daughters, Betty (Frank) Purvis, Greenhill, Hants Co.; Donna (James) Bond, Guysborough; sons, David (Bonnie), Sackville; Stewart (Pauline), Wentworth; sisters, Hilda (Vincent) Tanner, Jean Lively, Beaver Bank; Irene (Bud) MacLellan, Sackville; brothers, Frank Redmond, Stewiacke; Donnie (Dorothy) Garrison, Calgary, Alta.; son-in-law, Lewis Brown, Greenhill, Hants Co.; grandchildren, Lyndell, Rebecca, Tammy, Tanya, Joseph, James; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughter, Beverly Brown; brothers, Mike Redmond, Pat Redmond; brother-in-law, Verney Lively. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, November 2, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday, November 3, funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday, November 4, all in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville, Rev. Karen Hunt officiating. Interment in Church Of The Good Shepherd Parish Cemetery, Beaver Bank. Family flowers only.
