Mrs. Adella L. Salter
The sudden death from pneumonia of Mrs. Adella L. Salter at the Beverly Hospital, Beverly, Mass., on April 8th, came as a shock to her relatives and friends. Mrs. Salter was a native of Nova Scotia but had resided in the United States for the past six years. Her husband, George N. Salter, died seven years ago. She is survived by two sons, Percy of Beverly, with whom she resided, and Walter of Bramber, N.S., both of whom were present at the time of her death; also four sisters and an aged aunt, Mrs. Ann DeMille, Windsor, N.S.
A service was held at Beverly and the body was brought to Upper Burlington, Hants County, N.S., where a funeral service was held in the hall, conducted by Rev. C.L. Gesner, who took as his text, Heb 41. The hymns sung were "Jesus Lover of My Soul," "Abide with me." A solo was rendered by Miss Thelma Sanford. Many intimate friends were present to pay their last respects to one who was dear to the hearts of all the community. The floral offerings were man y and beautiful.
