- BENEDICT, Donald Munroe - 64, Windsor, died June 21, 1993, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Windsor, he was a son of the late Arthur and Edna (Lockhart) Benedict. He was a retired employee of the Town of Windsor and member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 9, Hants County. He is survived by his companion, Nellie MacLeod, Windsor; two daughters, Linda, Windsor; Michelle (Mrs. Jeffrey Singer), Kennetcook; son, Duana, Brooklyn, Hants County; sister, Beatrice (Mrs. Austin Hannam), Bridgetown; four brothers, Arthur, Rawdon; Rufus, Hamilton, Ont.; Lester, Windsor; Norval, Ontario; two grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Walter; two sisters, Julia, Emma. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors 7-9 p.m. tonight in Lohnes Funeral Home, Windsor, where a legion service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday. Ashes will be scattered at a later date. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to Royal Canadian Legion or Canadian Cancer Society.
