- BENEDICT, Jean Frances - 69, Windsor, Hants Co., formerly of Brooklyn, Hants Co., passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2004, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born on April 28, 1935, in Windsor, she was a daughter of the late Courtney and Ruth (MacInnis) Miller. Jean enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and loved to play cards. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Hants County Branch 009, Windsor. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She is survived by daughters, Linda (Rod) Harvey, Brooklyn; Michelle (Kevin) Lyghtle, Slave Lake, Alta.; son, Duane, Brooklyn; granddaughters, Leslie and Melissa; great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Tyus, and Trey; sisters, Margaret (Sonny) Murray, Sydney Forks; Ruth (Bill) Mahar, Walton; brothers, Everett (Judy) Miller, Poplar Grove; Johnny, Rawdon. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King St., Windsor. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 12, in the funeral home chapel, Rev. Marilyn MacDonald officiating. Interment to follow in Riverview Haven Cemetery, Union Corner, Hants Co.
