Assuming he died shortly after his will of 1679 as follows: Will of January 23, 1679: In the name of god Amen I Edward Ward make this my last will and Testament, First I commit my soule to Allmighty god my Maker, and to Jesus Christ my Redemer, through whose bloode I hope to be saved, and my body to be buried in the Church yard of Richmond. Item I give my son Edward Ward one shilling and to his wife Grace I give five shillings. I give to his eldest son Roger Ward five shillings and to his youngest son James Ward five shillings, and also to his two daughters five shillings apiece. I give my daughter Frances Ward my house in Richmond in Newbygin Really and solely, only three pound she shall pay to my grandchild Elizabeth Pearson if she live till she come at age. Item. I give all my household stuff that was mine and that I bought with money in the house in Richmond to my daughter Frances Ward after my decease. Item that these legasis shall be paid out of the first years rent of Newbygin house. Witnesses my hand and seal this sixt day of January Anno Domini 1679.
