  "Adam, who was the ancestor of the Wardes of Salley near Ripon. I have many notes on this branch of the family, but can only include such as affect the main line. Adam left a son, Nicholas (dead 1300), whose wife, Sarah, was probably a Conyers. Nicholas left a son Simon (dead 1291), whose widow, Alice, married Henry de Eyville before 1300. Simon left two daughters as co-heircsses, Sarah and Isabel, both under age in 1305."
