- Harold Brett 'Hal' Fletcher, age 51. It is with greatsadness and sense of loss that Hal's family announce his death on hiswedding anniversary, Saturday, June 17, 2006, at the Toronto GeneralHospital, after a long struggle, waiting for lung transplant. A resident ofEllershouse, Hants County, he was born Feb. 6, 1955, in Halifax, to HaroldWalter Fletcher, Ellershouse, and the late Mary Frances (Dunbar) Fletcher.Hal loved brunch at any time of the day and enjoyed making meals forfriends and family. He had a quick wit, made friends for life, and nomatter the situation, he had a way of always being in the driver's seat. Atthe cottage, Friday night pizza and wings, or Sunday supper he loved thefellowship of who ever was at the table. A lifelong dream was fulfilledwhen Hal spent several months trucking with his son, Tyler in 2005. Theyears spent in the rink watching his children and hisgrandson, Cody were some of the most memorable. The friendships made lasted longafter the games were over. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of29 years, the former Vicki Lynn Mosher; their children, Brett (Melissa),Tyler (Candice), Jenna (Leigh), grandchildren, Cody and Autumn, whom hewould have given anything to watch them grow up; siblings, Helen (Dewar)Lindsay, Windsor,and their children, Maggie, Rob and Amy; Barry (Wendy), Lequille; Bruce(Denise), Gormanville and their children, Ashley and Michael; Kenneth,Canso, and his children, Brandon and Shantel; Kirk (Lori), Three MilePlains.He also leaves behind his dad, Harold (Bev), Ellerhouse, mother-in-law, Marion(Spence) Mosher, Ellershouse, brother-in-law, Dean and his daughter, Haley.Besides his mother, Mary, he was predeceased by his first wife, Mandy, maternalgrandparents, Seymour and Margaret Dunbar, paternal grandparents, Walterand Ethel Fletcher, father-in-law, Roger Mosher.
