- Halifax Herald 5/14/2005HINES, Arthur Elias "Sonny" - 66, New Minas, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2005, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Greenwich, he was a son of the late Arthur Hines and the late Marjorie (Fitzgerald) (Hines) Rockwell, and stepfather, Ronald Rockwell, New Minas. Sonny worked as a truck driver, retiring from Tasbow Sod Ltd., Port Williams. He loved the outdoors, especially camping and spending time on his verandah with family and friends. Left to mourn are his loving wife of 44 years, Ida (Hennigar); his much-loved children, Debbie (Robert Brown), Grafton; Margaret Hines, (Andy Thomas), Viewpoint; Ronald and Perry (Sheila), all of Barrington; Dennis (Paula), Port Williams; Eldon, Kentville; seven grandchildren who he cherished dearly; brother, Donald (Barbara), Wolfville; aunt, Freda Keel, Boutiliers Point. He was predeceased by granddaughter, Kayla, and twin sisters in infancy.
