- Buried, Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor, NSHis sister, Sarah (Caldwell) Ward, now a widow, attended his funeral.She travelled from Boston where she was living with relatives at thetime. (from a newspaper obituary on file at West Hants HistoricalSociety)Obit: "Caldwell - The death occurred at Ellershouse on Saturday, June 1st, 1907 of Edward H. Caldwell, of cancer, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert Guild, in the 87th year of his age. He leaves four daughters. Dora (Mrs. W. R. Smith) Windsor, Elizabeth (Mrs. James Coon) also of Windsor, Amelia (Mrs. Robert Guild) and Bessie (Mrs. John McLellan) Mt. Uniacke. Also four sons, Samuel, Benjamin, Henry and James. He leaves about 90 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. The only surviving sister of the deceased is Mrs. Sarah Ward living in Boston. The remains were brought to Windsor and interred in Mapleton (should be Maplewood) Cemetery."
