Notes - Nixon Lowther seems to have either married three different Ross women, or there are errors in the baptism records for his children. It lists Margaret Ross as mother of James in 1843, Sarah Ross as mother of William in 1845, Ross in 1847, Samuel in 1849, Mary in 1852. And he is listed as marrying Mary Ross in 1842.
