  At the Halifax Hotel on Thursday evening, 2nd January, after a short illness, Thomas W. Cochrane, Esq., Merchant of this city, in the 29th year of his age - universally regretted. His remains were coveyed to Newport yesterday afternoon for interment. Acadian Recorder 4 January 1845
