- Obituary Maritime Baptist - Wednesday, 22 February 1911 - Page 9 -Pineo - The late Henry G. Pineo, of Falmouth, Hants Co., was born inCornwallis, County of Kings, 63 years ago; and over 41 years since he,with his wife and family, removed to Falmouth, where they have sinceresided. About three years ago Mr. Pineo was sticken with blindness, besides being afflicted with that dread disease, diabetes, whicheventually carried him off. By occupation Mr. Pineo was a farmer, andwas regarded as being a very industrious and intelligent man, and a kindneighbor. With his family, Mr. Pineo was connected with the Baptistdenomination, he having been baptized by Dr. Saunders, of Halifax, someyears ago. He felt his great affliction very keenly, and it was a hardmatter for him to become reconciled to his loss, which appeared to growupon him more and more. Being an old acquaintance, I felt it myprivilege to visit him in his deep affliction from time to time and haveprayer with him, and urging on him the duty of submission to the will ofhis Heavenly Father. Mr. Pineo had been a great reader and was glad tolisten attentively to God's word, and was desirous to have prayeroffered in his behalf, and also enjoyed the singing of a hymn. Whilepossessed of a religious mind and a desire to do right, his disease, nodoubt, tended to render him somewhat irritable at times. Mr. Pineopassed away suddenly and peacefully, and we trust he is at rest in theParadise of God, awaiting the resurrection morn.
